FAQ

What is an anagram?

A word or phrase made by rearranging the letters of another, like listen → silent. This tool generates arrangements but does not check a dictionary, so you decide which ones are real words.

How many arrangements are there?

A word with n different letters has n! orders — 120 for five letters and 40,320 for eight. Repeated letters reduce the count. Up to 1,000 are shown.

Does it work with other alphabets?

Yes. Any characters can be shuffled, including accented letters, Cyrillic, Korean syllables and Japanese kana.
