How to use

  1. Type an amount in “Value” and choose the units to convert from and to. The page opens on US bushels → liters.
  2. US dry pints and quarts are about 16% larger than the liquid ones used for milk. Use this page for grain and produce, and the volume converter for liquids.
  3. “Show all units” lists the same amount in every unit at once.
  4. The page address keeps your value and units, so you can share the link as is.

FAQ

How many liters are in a bushel?

A US bushel is about 35.24 L and an imperial bushel is 36.36872 L. US grain prices are quoted per US bushel.

Can I convert bushels to pounds or kilograms?

Not directly — a bushel is a volume, so its weight depends on the crop. By US trade convention a bushel of wheat or soybeans counts as 60 lb (about 27.2 kg) and corn as 56 lb (about 25.4 kg).

Is a dry quart the same as a liquid quart?

No. A US dry quart is about 1.101 L, roughly 16% larger than the 0.946 L liquid quart.

What is a koku?

A traditional Japanese and Korean measure for rice equal to 100 shō, about 180.39 L — once reckoned as a year of rice for one person.
