How to use
- Press “Start” to begin a 25-minute focus session and stick to a single task.
- When it ends, a chime plays and a 5-minute short break begins. Every fourth round you get a 15-minute long break instead.
- Adjust the durations and the long-break interval under Settings. Your settings are kept in the page address, so a bookmark brings them back.
- Turn on “Auto-start next phase” to let focus and breaks run back to back. Leave it off to start each phase yourself.
FAQ
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
It is a time-management method where you work in short, focused blocks separated by breaks — typically 25 minutes of work, a 5-minute break, and a longer break after four rounds. The name comes from a tomato-shaped kitchen timer.
Is my session count saved?
No. Sessions are counted only while this page stays open and nothing is stored. Reloading starts again from zero.
Will it alert me while I work in another tab?
Yes. The chime is scheduled for the exact end of each phase, so it plays on time even in a background tab. The time left is also shown in the tab title.
