IPv4 to IPv6 Converter

Enter IPv4 addresses one per line and they are converted to IPv6 instantly.

Your text and files never leave your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

How to use

  1. Enter IPv4 addresses in the left box, one per line, to convert many at once.
  2. Pick a single notation under “Format” to get just that value on each line.
  3. “All” puts every notation on one line separated by tabs, so pasting into a spreadsheet splits them into columns.
  4. Lines that are not valid IPv4 addresses get a ✗ and a notice appears below.

FAQ

When are IPv4-mapped addresses (::ffff:) used?

On servers that accept IPv4 connections through a single IPv6 socket, IPv4 clients show up in IPv6 form. You will often see addresses starting with ::ffff: in server logs and firewall rules.

Should I still use 6to4 addresses?

6to4 is a legacy transition mechanism that RFC 7526 deprecated. Treat it as a reference for reading old configurations or studying.

What is a NAT64 address?

It lets IPv6-only networks reach IPv4 servers. It is formed by appending the IPv4 address to the well-known prefix 64:ff9b::/96.
