Countdown Timer to a Date

Pick a date and time, press Start, and watch the time left tick down every second.

Your text and files never leave your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

How to use

  1. Type a title if you like, then choose the target date and time. Buttons such as “New Year” fill them in for you.
  2. Press “Start countdown” to see the days, hours, minutes and seconds left, plus the same time expressed in hours, minutes and seconds.
  3. Use “Copy link” to share it — anyone who opens the link sees the same countdown straight away.
  4. With “Alert sound” ticked, a tone plays when the countdown reaches zero. If you opened a shared link, tick it once to allow sound.

FAQ

Will a shared countdown be right in another time zone?

Yes. The link stores the creator’s time zone, so everyone counts down to the same moment. The target time below the counter is shown in each viewer’s local time.

Is my countdown saved if I close the page?

Nothing is stored on your device. The date, time and title live in the page address, so bookmark it or keep the link to open it again later.

Can I count down to a time in the past?

If the target has already passed, the counter stays at zero and says “It’s time!”. To see how long it has been since a date, use the count-up timer instead.
