How to use
- In “Add or subtract time”, enter hours, minutes and seconds on each row. Switch the + to − to subtract that row.
- Press “Add row” for more lines. The total appears as h:mm:ss and also in decimal hours, minutes and seconds. Values over 60, such as 90 minutes, are fine.
- In “Time between two times”, enter a start and end date and time to get the duration in days, hours and minutes. “Now” fills in the current time.
- If both dates are the same and the end time is earlier (for example 22:00 to 06:00), it is treated as the next day. Turn this off to see a negative result.
FAQ
How do I calculate a night shift that crosses midnight?
Keep both dates the same and enter the times. With “count it as the next day” on, 22:00 to 06:00 comes out as 8 hours. Changing the end date to the next day gives the same result.
What is 2 hours 30 minutes in decimal hours?
It is 2.5 hours. The “In hours” box under the total shows the decimal value, ready for timesheets and pay calculations.
Does it account for daylight saving time?
Yes. The time between two dates follows your device’s time zone, so a day when clocks change is counted by the time that actually passed.
